Designing a Universe Where Every Floor Tells a Story

What if a workplace wasn’t just a place to work but a journey through different realms of emotion, movement, and meaning?

That was the challenge Vulcan Labs brought to Space.s: to craft not just an office, but a multi-dimensional experience that reflects the company’s bold culture and empowers its young, tech-driven teams.

Space.s answered with Multiverse Station a design concept that transforms a five-floor building into an architectural journey, where each floor is a “station” inspired by a natural element, offering distinct spatial identities while remaining united under a cohesive design language.

Conceptual Framework: The Multiverse as Workspace

The concept of Multiverse Station reimagines the workplace as a layered journey, where each floor becomes a distinct “station” inspired by natural elements — from the warmth and flow of the desert, the depth and clarity of the ocean, the lightness of the sky, to the futuristic vastness of the galaxy and the calm of a rooftop garden. Each station is crafted with its own mood, material palette, and spatial language, creating a workplace that stimulates emotion, fosters creativity, and offers a new experience at every level.

Design Language and Spatial Strategy

The central idea driving the project is motion through curvature inspired by organic elements like dunes, waves, gravity, and cosmic orbits. This visual vocabulary appears across walls, ceilings, partitions, and even furniture systems, reinforcing a sense of flow across all five levels.

Key spatial and design elements include:

Fluid circulation paths and soft zoning transitions to mimic natural movement
Dynamic lighting scenarios are adapted to each station’s identity and activity needs
Acoustic control through specialized meeting rooms, quiet booths, and nap rooms
Interactive spaces like a multifunctional workshop, game zone, and rooftop breakout
Custom graphics and decals for wayfinding and storytelling continuity

Materials and color palettes were uniquely selected per floor, ensuring both contrast and coherence from warm sand-inspired textures to ethereal light-toned finishes and cosmic gradients.

Workplace as Ecosystem

Multiverse Station was never intended to be just a modern office. From the beginning, it was designed as a human-centric ecosystem one that adapts to different work styles, supports mental wellness, and inspires employees to engage more deeply with their work and each other.

Whether it’s a team ideation session in the workshop, quiet reflection in the nap room, or spontaneous conversation in the garden, the space supports organic interactions and moments of creativity.

It stands as a testament to how space, when designed with intention, can elevate both culture and performance.
